This is the 1866 Abner Peeler Letter.

This letter shows the very first use of Syllabic printing, of which there are only three other existing examples in history.

It also demonstrates the very first ability to achieve proportional spacing with a typewriter.

The lower rendition was typed in the 20's or 30's, and is not accuratley transcribed from the original letter.

.

More information on syllabic printing is found in Peeler History, and in Current times.
